A listening routine.
A clear four-week sequence.

Tihna is a wellness audio app with structured 4-week listening programmes. Each programme gives you a consistent session sequence, progress record and clear routine. Research into binaural audio is mixed, and the studies cited here did not test Tihna or guarantee an outcome.

The four-week curve shows Tihna's programme structure. It is not a prediction of clinical or lasting change.

The core idea in one paragraph

Tihna plays slightly different tones to the left and right ears, which is why stereo headphones are required. The difference between those tones is perceived as a binaural beat. Researchers have studied whether this kind of audio affects attention, relaxation and sleep-related measures, but results vary by study and protocol. Tihna uses that listening format inside a repeatable programme; it does not claim to train your brain or create a lasting neurological change.

Two things to separate before you start

Your experience during a session and any pattern you notice across repeated use are different observations. Neither is guaranteed, and Tihna is not a medical treatment.

During a session

Notice whether the sound and routine suit the moment you chose. Some people may find a session relaxing or easier to follow than an open-ended playlist; others may notice no useful difference.

Across the programme

Use the history and progress tools to record whether the routine is useful for you. The four-week sequence provides structure; it does not promise that your baseline mood, focus or sleep will change.

Keep the evidence in proportion: studies of particular audio protocols cannot establish what Tihna will do for an individual. Stop using a session if it is uncomfortable, and seek professional advice for persistent sleep, anxiety or health concerns.

The 4-week arc, week by week

Tihna structures its Morning, Focus, Calm and Sleep programmes across four weeks, giving you a clear sequence to follow and a progress record to revisit. The schedule is a product structure, not a promise of a durable or clinical change.

Week 1
Introduction

Learn the stereo setup, choose the programme that fits your intended moment and become familiar with the sound. Record your own experience without treating an early impression as proof of an effect.

Week 2
Build the routine

Continue through the scheduled sessions and use the same comfortable listening setup. The programme records completion; it does not predict when or whether you will notice a change.

Week 3
Continue consistently

Follow the next set of sessions if the routine remains comfortable and useful. Compare your notes with your starting point rather than relying on a promised timeline.

Week 4
Review your experience

Complete the programme and decide whether the structure earned a place in your routine. Research findings from other protocols are background information, not a forecast of your result with Tihna.

How each programme is organised

Each programme provides a four-week sequence for a different listening context. The schedule is descriptive, not an outcome timeline:

Programme Use case Session style What you can track
Sleep Pre-bed listening 20-minute stereo-headphone sessions Completion and your own notes
Calm Taking a quieter break 20-minute stereo-headphone sessions Completion and your own notes
Focus Preparing for focused work 25-minute stereo-headphone sessions Completion and your own notes
Morning Starting the day with a set routine 15-minute stereo-headphone sessions Completion and your own notes

The five things that make the difference

Wear headphones

Binaural beats require two slightly different tones reaching each ear separately. Speakers, soundbars, and bone-conduction headphones don't work — the two tones mix, and no beat frequency is generated.

Show up daily

Follow the programme schedule if it suits you. Consistency makes the progress record more useful, but it does not guarantee a result.

Match frequency to goal

Choose Sleep, Calm, Focus or Morning based on the listening context shown in the app. Frequency labels describe the audio design, not a medical effect.

Reduce noise around you

Choose a safe, comfortable listening environment where you can hear the stereo audio without turning the volume up too high.

Give it four weeks

The programme lasts four weeks. You can stop at any time; four weeks is the product structure, not a minimum treatment period or promised threshold.

Measure your baseline

Write down two or three baseline numbers on day one — sleep latency, focus block length, anxiety score. Check them at day 30. Numbers don't lie; feelings across weeks are hard to remember.

Why the programmes use four weeks

Four weeks gives Tihna a finite sequence rather than an endless playlist. It is long enough to establish a repeatable listening routine and short enough to review from start to finish. It is a product-design choice, not a claim that four weeks is clinically optimal.

The programmes use disclosed frequency targets across their sessions. Linked studies provide background on related research, but they did not test Tihna's exact programmes and cannot establish that a Tihna sequence reproduces their findings.

What Tihna will not do

Being honest about what neural frequency programmes don't do matters as much as being clear about what they do:

Do not use Tihna if you have epilepsy, a pacemaker, or are pregnant. If you have any medical condition, consult your doctor before using Tihna.
